An employee of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) was killed after being hit by a truck on the PR-405 road in the Carreras neighborhood of the municipality of Añasco.

According to preliminary data, the accident occurred at 8:30 a.m. while Ángel Rodríguez Valentín, 62, reported the amount of debris that was being collected near the  Carmen Casasus Marti Elementary school , when a truck backed up and ran him over.

Rodríguez Valentín, resident of Añasco, was rushed to the Mayagüez Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 5:00 p.m. today, Thursday, confirmed the Police Press Office.
